The rules you lay out are helpful, but the notion that you should be intentional with your consumption, aligning it to a vision is even more powerful. I need to evaluate my YouTube consumption, lots of cheap calories that don't add much value.
Social media, like any other concept is a subjective matter. For me, it's absolutely social media. People are posting media and there is a social aspect (via comments mostly).
In any case, my focus isn't on social media use. It's on infinite scrolling experiences. YouTube has that. Even dating apps have that!
